Debut album Departure sees Taio Cruz combine heartrending love songs with punchy electro-pop and state-of-the-art production and features his breakthrough hit 'I Just Wanna Know', 'Moving On', the super sexy 'Come On Girl (feat. Luciana)' and the smooth, inspirational 'I Can Be'.

Taio Cruz says "Departure is like a metaphor for the first outing of my album. It's sort of like when you're waiting at the airport for your plane to leave, and you're waiting in the departure lounge, it feels like you've been waiting forever and then you get on the plane and you've gotta sit there for ages and you're like 'finally we're leaving!' and finally you've taken off."

With soulful, velvety vocals, soaring pop melodies and a strong electronic focus, Departure showcases Taio Cruz's abilities as a genre defying producer but also an astonishingly confident, charming performing artist.

"I didn't want to put out any old album fillers, so I took my time making an album where every song could be a single. I think I've managed to achieve that."
