As much as any release You Are The Quarry delves into despair and laments loss, but with a more aggressive, threatening tone. Kicking off with 'America Is Not The World', its vitriol might now seem dated but in 2004 it spoke to the world about the country whose actions spoke louder than its words.

'The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores' and 'Irish Blood, English Heart' are as caustic and sharp as anything he's written. Throughout, Alain Whyte's guitar glimmers with genius, while the lyrics display that distinctive black-comedy Morrissey excels at. Like they say, good things come to those that wait and You Are The Quarry certainly proved it.
