Recent years have witnessed a resurgence of interest in Dub, sparking renewed demand for recordings from its golden age – the mid to late seventies. It was during this period that musical pioneers such as King Tubby and Lee "Scratch" Perry took their experimentations in sound to new levels, using the limited technology at their disposal to create some of the most spellbinding music yet to see issue.
This collection brings together 40 such tracks, none of which are currently available on CD. Performed by Jamaica's most celebrated session players, mixed by the genre's most gifted engineers and produced by some of the most creative and influential music makers, this collection features some of the best Dub ever released and in doing so provides the perfect introduction to the genre.
