Ain't No Saint contains 59 songs including over 30 previously unreleased recordings spanning John Martyn's first 40 years in the music business. Split evenly with 2 discs of studio recordings and 2 discs of live recordings Ain't No Saint is an essential purchase for all John Martyn fans.

Discs One and Two contain one track from each of John's studio albums and includes 12 previously unreleased demos or studio out-takes.

Disc Three contains 11 previously unreleased live recordings dating from 1973 through to 1977.

Disc Four contains 15 live recordings beginning with 2 songs from the BBC's Little Night Music from 1981 plus 4 tracks from Later With Jools Holland ending with a live version of "Over The Hill" from this year's BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, featuring John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin on mandolin.

The 36-page booklet features sleevenotes by Record Collector's Daryl Easlea and was compiled and annotated by John Hillarby of the John Martyn website.
