Beggars Banquet evokes the groovy late 60's while still sounding unmistakeably and uniquely like a Rolling Stones record. This was the last album completed with the band's original line-up, and features one of the classic rock tracks of all time, 'Sympathy For The Devil'. It is, simply and uncontroversially, a masterpiece.

Beggars Banquet is the first of the quartet of Stones albums to be produced by Jimmy Miller, and as such marks the start of what's generally thought of as The Stones' heyday. The record-buying public recognised greatness when they heard it, and Beggars Banquet subsequently hit the Top Five in both the UK and the US. As well as stand-out classics like the stomping 'Street Fighting Man' and the bluesy 'No Expectations', Beggars Banquet is also remembered as the last complete album to which Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones contributed.
