I Couldn’t Have Said It Better actually turned out to be one of Meat Loaf's favourite albums of his entire career so far, none of the tracks were written by his long term song-writing partner Jim Steinman, which potentially could have spelt disaster for the albums commercial success, the album debuted at No.4 on the UK charts when it was released, and was followed by a sold out world tour.
Meat Loaf used a number of songwriters on the album including James Michael and Dianne Warren, both of whom also contributed to the Bat Out Of Hell lll: The Monster Is Loose project in 2006.
