The most comprehensive Style Council compilation bar none.
This whopping five disc, 90-track box set collects all of Paul Weller's post Jam soul-pop collective’s studio albums plus all non album singles, B sides and for the first time, the infamous unreleased 1989 house experiment A New Decade Of Modernism. An absolute must for the true Style Council fan.
Ninety digitally remastered tracks, virtually every studio cut made by the group plus six other cuts making their CD debut & the previously unavailable 'Money-Go-Round (Pt.1 & 2)' (Bert Bevans Alternate Remix).
Also available here is the hard to get hold of Cost of Loving album.
Weller explains “The idea was that the album would be based on the modern soul, the indie soul stuff. That was pretty obscure and it wasn't what people were expecting. It was badly recorded as well. I don't think there was enough love in that record to make it come through, to make it strong. I don't think my heart was in it because there were other things going on in my life at the time which took me away. I started going out with Dee at the time an all I wanted to do was go off and be in love and have fun.”
This set comes with a detailed 112 page colour book with fantastic liner notes.
