Released in April 2006, 'The Fratellis EP' came just a year after the band's first ever live performance which took place in Glasgow on 4th March 2005. A three-track EP featuring 'Creeping up the Backstairs', 'Stacie Anne', and 'The Gutterati', only 'Creeping up the Backstairs' went on to feature on the band's debut album in the UK, Costello Music
Echoes of the recently disbanded Libertines run through The Fratellis first offering on EP which serves up a taster of the band's stomping pub rock, infused with a bit of good old fashioned UK punk and a slice of classic Glam Rock. As a sign of things to come, it planted a solid flag in the ground for the band, featuring just three tracks - 'Creeping up the Backstairs', 'Stacie Anne', and 'The Gutterati'. 'Creeping up the Backstairs', in particular, marked their arrival, thanks to heavy rotation on Zane Lowe's popular Radio One show.
