Born DeAndre Way in Chicago, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em is the new face of hip hop, propelled to international stardom via the Internet and the runaway success of 'Crank That' and its accompanying dance routine. Initially helped by his father who provided a studio, Soulja Boy started writing and uploading his tracks, coming to the attention of Label-head and producer Mr Collipark who signed him and finessed his sound.

The resulting 'Crank That' delivered record numbers of views on YouTube and spent eight weeks at the top of the US charts, providing the launch pad for the albums souljaboytellem.com, its follow-up, isouljaboytellem, and a platform for a star with plans to take over the world.
