Sound Of The Underground charted the Girls Aloud makeover from reality TV starlets to pop stars with a selection of mega pop hits including the title track, 'No Good Advice', 'Life Got Cold' and 'Jump'.
The single 'Sound Of The Underground' went platinum and sent the girls' careers into orbit. It was the inspiration for the album of the same name featuring a mish-mash of styles and sounds. The album was extended with a collection of neat pop outings, a pumped up cover of the Pointer Sisters' 'Jump' as well as a Betty Davis Eyes' riff for the Freaky Friday 'You Freak Me Out'.
