This explicit language download version of The Black Eyed Peas' 1998 debut, Behind The Front, finds will.i.am, Apl.de.ap and Taboo honing the R&B/hip hop fusion that would eventually win them fans across the globe. Featuring the single, 'Joints & Jams' and a guest spot from Macy Gray on 'Love Won't Wait', Behind The Front has plenty of flavour to savour in its own right, as well as being a taste of things to come.

Behind The Front's reception hinted at the success The Black Eyed Peas would go on to enjoy, winning them a mass of critical acclaim, with RapReviews claiming, "Behind the Front will remind hip-hop heads of some of the greats that promote positive music", and Allmusic stating that "The Black Eyed Peas bring some positivity and fun back into hip-hop".
