  • In a career that spanned fifty years, Johnny Cash never went out of style and was still producing some of his best work only months before he passed away. He famously began his recording career at Sun Records in 1955, where he became notable for his "boom-chicka-boom" backing tracks, and deep authoritative vocal.

    The 1960s saw the Cash fame train continue, peaking with his infamous prison concerts at Folsom Prison and San Quentin. With a renaissance in the late 1980s followed by a second great career peak of working with Rick Rubin, Johnny Cash is one of the few truly great musical legends.
