BEATS™ COMPETITION: TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Closing date for entries is 29/06/11
  2. The prize consists of one pair of Beats By Dr. Dre™ White Studio™ Headphones
  3. The competition is open to all citizens of the UK and Republic of Ireland of 16 years of age and over, except employees of Universal Music Direct (UMD), a division of Universal Music Operations Limited and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents, or anyone connected with this Competition including Activision and their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents.
  4. Entries limited to one per person.
  5. No purchase is necessary
  6. An eligible entrant must be an individual resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
  7. The winner of the competition will be chosen at random by a computer generated program.
  8. UMD will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. ‘UMD’ will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate in the Competition.
  9. UMD reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude entrants and withhold prizes for violating any of these General Rules and the Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use. UMD reserves the right to amend these General Rules. Any amendments will be published on the Website.
  10. The winner will be notified either by telephone or e-mail within five days of the closing date. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during this time. If a winner cannot be contacted before this time on the mobile number or email address supplied by the entrant with their entry, UMD reserves the right to select another entrant.
  11. There is no cash or other alternative to the prizes stated and the prizes are not transferable and no part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.
  12. The winners name may be published on the Internet.
  13. By entering the competition all entrants are deemed to have accepted and be bound by these General Rules.
  14. UMD reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a competition is not capable of being conducted as specified.
  15. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit UMD for death or personal injury caused by their employees or agents negligence or for fraud.
  16. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  17. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
  18. The Promoter of this competition is Universal Music Direct Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with number 6854191 whose registered office is at 364–366 Kensington High Street, London W14 8NS.

DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS

As part of our ongoing commitment to offer our customers the highest level of online payment security possible and to ensure the safe and timely arrival of your goods, some high value items such as Beats by Dr. Dre™ Headphones can only be delivered to the billing address associated with your payment card. Additionally, these products will be shipped via recorded delivery and will require the card-holder's signature to confirm receipt of goods.

Should you mistakenly place an order for a high value item and specify any address other than the billing address, that order will be automatically cancelled and you will be notified by email within 24 hours. Should this happen, please place another order and be sure that the delivery address is consistent with the billing address as it appears on your debit/credit card statement.

HOW IS MY ORDER SHIPPED?

All Beats™ headphones are delivered by DPD. You will receive a tracking number for your parcel and you will need to sign for it on arrival. The tracking number will be displayed in your dispatch email and you can use it to follow the progress of your item on the DPD website.

HOW DO I CANCEL AN ORDER?

To cancel an order, sign into Your Account, and select Order History. This will display a full list of all your orders. Select the order you wish to cancel, and click View Order Details. You now have the option to cancel your order, or individual items from your order, provided they have not yet been dispatched.

If your order has already been dispatched, please contact customer services at support@universal-music.co.uk or on 0845 070 2036 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday for advice on what steps to take next.

WHAT DO I DO IF I RECEIVE A DAMAGED ITEM?

Unfortunately, items can get damaged in transit sometimes. Should this happen, please refer to our Returning An Item section on the website. Alternatively, contact our support team, either on support@universal-music.co.uk, or on 0845 070 2036 between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
