Monkey Business, The Black Eyed Peas' 2005 follow-up to 2003's breakthrough smash Elephunk, delivered more of the same in commercial terms, while continuing to explore, expand and extend the possibilities of R&B, pop, hip hop and dance. Opening with Grammy-winning single 'Don't Phunk With My Heart', 'Monkey Business' also spawned hits 'Don't Lie', 'My Humps' and 'Pump It', on its way to consolidating The Black Eyes Peas' status as one of the biggest bands on the planet.
After a year of international touring to promote Elephunk, all the new sights and sounds of such a long trip around and across the planet were obviously a major influence on Monkey Business, The Black Eyed Peas' follow-up. Speaking of his intentions for Monkey Business, will.i.am said: "Accordions, oboes, trombones… There's something about an accordion that gives you a sense of travelling. We've been traveling around the world on this Elephunk thing and now I want that story to be told."
